Gary Thomas is a Colorado native who moved to Key West in 1993 to own and operate a Guesthouse. Prior to moving to Key West, Gary was an attorney in a Denver law firm. He also worked in commercial banking and later as a Senior Subsidiary Specialist for the Resolution Trust Corporation where he managed numerous commercial assets owned by the RTC. coronation for three years,
and co-chaired Smart Ride, a
two day bicycle ride from
Miami to Key West, in its
first three years.
Previously, McKenzie served
in the White House office of
administration in the Carter
administration and was chief
financial officer of a
major lobbying firm in
Washington for years.
McKenzie and her husband
John then headed a catering
business. In Key
West, McKenzie previously
operated Darin David Salon
and Day Spa. She is a
member of the Hospice and
Visiting Nurses Association
boards and co-chairs the
annual Fourth of July picnic
at the Casa Marina.

Katrina Cool, Executive Administrator
Originally from the Maryland suburbs of Washington DC and the daughter of a US Navy Captain, Katrina has lived abroad but moved with her husband
nine years ago upon his transfer to the Naval Air Station Key West. A university research librarian for over 20 years, she started her new career working in the Key West real estate market where she met John and Jeffrey and followed them in their new venture - Dunaway McKenzie Realtors - as their Executive Administrator. Katrina is a classically trained concert pianist who studied at The Juilliard; she also has three college degrees and is currently working on her second Masters Degree with the University of Maryland via distance education and enjoys the vast diversity of military and civilian personnel Key West has to offer.
